Portrait of the author as an old man

The astute reader may remember the above illustration from such posts of mine as "Arse-Sum!". It was done by my wee niece when I was up visiting the in-laws over Christmas and is a portrait of your humble author.

What many art critics don’t realise is that the piece is actually one half of a diptych --both halves of which I am lucky enough to have in my private collection. The other portrait is of my good lady girlfriend. Here, for the first time in public, we can see the diptych in its entirety:

Anyway, ever since I stumbled across The Monster Engine website about a year ago, I’ve been planning to try something along those lines myself. So the other day, when I came across the above-pictured sticky notes in the back of a drawer my high security art safe, I thought I’d give it a whirl*. Here are the results:

[*It was also a bit of an excuse to have another tinker with Manga Studio Pro which, in spite of its cringeingly embarrassing name is actually a fantastic piece of software and rapidly becoming a favourite of mine]
