04 Mar 2019
Another one of my periodical roundups, featuring other wee bits and bobs I’ve done in amongst my #PortraitChallenge efforts. 8th December 2018 Brexit—the gift that keeps on giving! Here’s a super present idea for Christmas. Guaranteed hours of ennui for all the family! 11th January 2019 They say today’s news headlines are tomorrow’s fish & chip wrapper. And, sometimes, yesterday’s #PortraitChallenge is today’s washing up. 15th January 2019 Hilarious hospital themed cartoon.... [ Read More ]
We're All in This Together

Tools of the trade Flushed with the success of my foray into porcine punning yesterday, which received no less than a collosal FOUR! re-tweets on Twitter [and three of them weren’t even me!] –I decided to return to the fray today, with another cartoon inspired by the Conservative Party Conference, taking place just down the road at the mo’. As with yesterday’s, I’ll show you the finished cartoon first and then anyone who’s still awake and interested in ‘artistic gestation’ can read on for the Work-in-Progress report.... [ Read More ]
Piggate

A tidy desk is the sign of an untidy mind When the missus mentioned the ‘Piggate’ scandal to me this morning, I couldn’t resist the temptation to have a go at a wee bit of a topical political cartoon. Yes, I know “topical” is stretching it a bit, but I’ve not been paying much attention to the news over the past week or so. So it was ‘topical news’ for me.... [ Read More ]
Political Cartoon No.0003

I apologise to those of a sensitive disposition for the strong language used. I felt it was necessary to capture the essence of the man. ... [ Read More ]

Political Cartoon No. 001

This is the first in an occasional series of politically and socially motivated cartoons, wherein I shall be bringing my colossal intellect and rapier-like wit to bear upon contemporary issues. Here we see a damning indictment on the recent re-election of Tony Blair ... [ Read More ]

Just got my Postal Ballot through the door this morning -not that I have any intention of voting in the General [or any other] Election. Barely had the ballot paper landed on the doormat, when it was followed shortly afterwards by an avalanche of leaflets from the various candidates. I don’t know why they even bother wasting the money printing this shite up [Although judging from the grotty, smudgy, sub church newsletter offerings from a few of the smaller parties, not everyone exactly broke the bank, publicising their pipedreams].... Democracy -Dontcha Love It?!

Nice to see all the main parties falling into line and voting for [albeit with a couple of insignificant amendments] The Government’s new Anti-Terror laws. These were brought in after the senile cunts in the House of Lords actually woke up long enough to realise that the previous policy of allowing anyone suspected of “Being a Johnny Foreigner” er… sorry, I mean of “Planning Terrorism” to be detained indefinitely without charge and without them or their solicitors being given access to the evidence against them was “not very British, Old Chap!...
